By car
Follow the E6 northwards to Nordkjosbotn. From Nordkjosbotn you follow the E8 towards Tromsø. Drive over the bridge, towards town, and follow the signs for Kvaløya/Tromsø Airport. Continue past the airport and over the bridge near to the airport. Keep to the left after driving over the bridge, and follow the signs for Sommarøy. Follow this road until you reach a turnoff at Eidkjosen, at the store "Eide Handel" which is at a bend in the road. Turn right here, and continue following the signs for "Sommarøy" for approx 20 km. Along the way you will cross a mountain pass "Kattfjordeidet", and then arrive at Kattfjord itself. Follow along the right-hand side (look for a sign, "Lauklines 5km"). Lauklines is then on your left hand side, with a small island right in front of it.
By air
Regular scheduled flights to Tromsø airport. SAS and Norwegian have several flights per day from major cities in Norway and Europe. The airport is located close to the bridge over to Kvaløya. If you rent a car, just follow the route described above.
